Founder & CEO, Innis Enterprises
Laura Innis designs AI automation for small and mid-sized businesses and oversees its delivery, and she understands them from the owner’s side. She founded and ran a hospitality venue in the London area for ten years, owning the P&L, commercial strategy and operations through to a successful exit.
Her career spans more than twenty years in the US and the UK: life sciences research, including doctoral study in microbiology and molecular cell sciences with a focus on forensics; clinical research; sales and key account management for GSK and Pfizer UK; and scaling teams inside AI and deep tech startups at Series A, D and E. Today, at a billion-dollar global healthtech company, she splits her time between leading AI and innovation projects and confidential recruitment.
She doesn’t just advise on the technology; she understands how it is built, which is why she can hold build partners to account. She designed and built CAIRN, software that matches missing persons records against unidentified remains records across jurisdictions. A preprint is available on SocArXiv, with more on the Research page.
